Description
The location of the temporary communal grave of casualties among civilians and defenders of the Jewish Quarter during the War of Independence. The burial received special rabbinic permission, despite the ruling that it is forbidden to bury people in Jerusalem. After the war the bodies were transferred to the Mount of Olives for reburial.

Parking: Mount Zion car park, the Jewish Quarter car park, the Karta (Mamila) car park adjacent to the Jaffa Gate. Public Transport: Egged bus lines: 38 (minibus) to the Jewish Quarter car park, or line 1,2 to the Western Wall
