Description
A fascinating tour to the beginnings of Jerusalem. The visitor is invited to touch the essence of the First Temple, to walk through the Siloam Pool, and observe the works of kings and prophets. Apart from the magnificent viewpoint of Jerusalem, the site exhibits the ancient water cistern, the underground water supply system and Beit Ha-Ma’ayan (House of the Spring). New excavations are shedding new light on Biblical Jerusalem. The Visitors Center also arranges cultural events and shows, courses, conventions, children’s activities and more.

How to reach the site
  1. Givati car park
    Enter the old city through the Jaffa Gate. Drive through the Armenian Quarter, past the Western Wall and exit via the Dung Gate. Turn left at the Dung Gate and then right after about 100 meters. The Givati car park is adjacent to the City of David Visitors Center.
  2. Mount Zion car park
    Arriving from the direction of the old railway station/Cinematheuqe /Khan Theatre, turn right towards the Valley of Hinom. From the Mount Zion car park you can walk along the ramparts until you reach the Givati car park and the City of David Visitors Centre.
