Construction above the car park – 18000 sqm allocated for housing, commerce and tourism.

In the southeastern section of the Quarter, above the existing car parks, the JQDC is planning to build of 18,000 sqms for residential, commercial, tourism and public use.

The project is currently in the final planning stages by architects Sharki and Safdie, and is being coordinated by the municipality engineer.

The costs allocated to the building project will also partially cover the building costs of the underground car park.
